Wyoming is different than the other states we’ve covered so far. One of the big differences is the fact that they set up the homeschooling process almost like a trial run to see if you have the ability to homeschool. Other than that their laws and regulations pretty much require the same standards as the other four states. Find out how to get started with homeschooling in Wyoming.

Making it to the Olympics is one thing but making it to the Olympics and winning a silver medal is another. Steele Johnson became one of the youngest divers to win a silver medal after achieving a score of 491.01 in the men’s synchronized 10 meter platform diving with his partner David Boudia. That’s pretty amazing! Steele Johnson really had the chance to hone in and focus on his diving career because of his choice to homeschool through an online private school, Laurel Springs.

Surfing is hard. Professional surfing is on another level. A level that Dane Reynolds has reached many many times. Racing is a hard sport. It’s very intense and requires a lot of time, energy, and effort. You also gotta have a stomach for it. A lot of the racers travel at speeds up to 200 miles an hour! People rarely make it into NASCAR and when they do it takes a long time to get their name out there because of the fierce competition. This wasn’t the case for 18 year old Hailie Deegan. Hailie Deegan only homeschooled for one year prior to completing her high school education, but it allowed her to practice, which could lead to a prominent career in Nascar.

West Virginia’s laws and regulations for homeschooling are very similar to Virginia’s laws. There’s the usual NOI, the parent requirements (not as stringent as Washington), the compulsory age is pretty much the same. The major difference is the standardized testing. West Virginia actually gives parents two options for fulfilling the standardized testing requirement for their child. We’ll cover those options in the standardized testing section of this post. Without further ado let’s jump into the laws and regulations of homeschooling in West Virginia.

Champions aren’t born, they are made, Todd Lodwick kinda proves that statement wrong. Almost all his life Todd has acted as a champion. A homeschooler, Todd Lodwick always had a passion for sports and his career took off after his first championship experience. by Christina Yeager

A lot of times people create the stereotype that homeschoolers don’t get out much or lack social experience or don’t know how to function in the real world. These homeschooling heroes proved otherwise. We will focus on celebrities who made it big to achieve their dreams. The one thing they all had in common is the fact that they were homeschooled at some point in their life. Misty Copeland is a professional ballet dancer that defied the ‘normal’ standards and blew the world away with her talent.
